How about you have a go and report, tumble? I believe there should not be any fuel coming in, but i am not 100% sure. If it does come in and there is no spark you may end up having fuel go into exhaust and the cat. Then next time you start it - boom goes the cat (i think this is why theres stickers on some cars with cats about dangers of push starting them) Theres also probably going to be a mighty jerk when you switch the engine off. I am also not sure whether power steering is fed directly from the engine or uses some sort of electric motor.

(bloody turbo kicked in at 68mph in 5th , so no chance of driving off turbo on the m/way!)

Don't worry about that one....turbos can (and probably do) actually increase efficiency- they're taking energy out of the exhaust gas that would otherwise be wasted and using it to pump mixture into the cylinders, which reduces the "pumping loss" that you'd otherwise suffer from on part throttle.
