There are some *wonderful* people out there :(

I can add myself to the ever growing list of people that have experienced a hit and run

Parked outside a friends house, go into town for a nice night out, come back and find it like that.

Rear light, and (if needed) the rear bumper isnt too bad to try and have to replace but they've hit the rear quater with quite some force. Its gone through both the outer and inner skin. Just waiting on some quotes now to see about getting it all fixed.

Excluding the front bumper which I was getting fixed anyway, there wasnt a dent or scratch anywhere on that car.

In the mean time, take 1x 2 litre bottle of water, LOTS of tape, and some red bits of printer ribbon, and violla 1x legal (ish) rear light

I don't know how people can actually do that to any car and not feel any need to pay for the damage they have done. I'd hope that won't cost to much to get sorted out

Yeah tbh, at the office this morning, it was either laugh or cry It seems to have held up pretty well, 280 miles today, and its still on there!

This brings up another point, I think when it got hit, its buggered the alignment up, as before there were no issues, it drove perfectly. Now its like the camber on the back is WAYYYY out, so thats another thing that needs to get done/looked at

Neither can I, gone are the days where people will at the very least leave a note on the windscreen with details etc.

Its looking like its gonna cost quite alot. So far spent £60 and thats just for a replacement light

I had a quick drive around, asked a few of the neighbours checked a few cars, but no nothing in the local area.

Sad thing is, in the street that it was parked, alot of other people have had similar things happen to them. A friend of mine had the same thing happen to her S14 not that long ago. Again same thing, smash and run. It really does make my blood boil

Thanks, its not alot but this has really got me down. I do think why do I even bother? Once I had sorted out the few marks on the front bumper, and refurbed the wheels the rest of the car was in very good condition. No scratches or car parking dents, nothing of the sort. I pay all this money, for a nice car, to keep it on the road legally, I pay my taxes, I pay to have it taxed, I insure it etc, then some **** does this, drives off and will get away scot free.

Cost wise, its looking like its gonna be a minimum of £500, and thats if I call in a few favours.

Yikes mate - not nice. My car got nudged the otherday - front bumper with some minor scratches & I was peeved to say the least - I'd be on the warpath if that were my car

Still, chin up mate - at least you get to enjoy the v6 roar every day

I got pretty pissed when someone took my door mirror off on my old car. Only cost £20 to fix (new glass, epoxied the housing back together), but the hassle and general feeling someone has smashed into your car and ****ed off is crap.

Got the tracking/allignment checked this morning, the rear was out ALOT. Thats back to normal, and the rest of the underside looks like it is fine.

Someone did this to our accord. Not one panel on the passenger side has been unscaithed.

That's a shame. The are (forum-friendly) bloody buggering buggers.
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
