Very nice indeed m8y
Speaking as someone who wouldn't know one pipe from the other, looks very
tidy work
Love that dash too
Yeah, i always look forward to it No matter how small
Did you mod the dials in the end?
Cheers guys
Wol, I've not modded the dials in the end, no. Changed them twice for replacements and both times the dials actually bucked and then damaged the needles, hence why they've remained black. I decided to have silver centre dials though since they look soooo bloody kewl when it's dark. Needs a night shot I guess, but everything just glow up orange.
thought i remembered reading about it.
The dayglow ones seem to be all the rage at the moment, was it those that you fitted to yours?
Nah they're not EL dayglow jobbies, just orange -but since they're silver faced, rather than the lettering be highlighted, the light reflects onto the silver bit making the back light up. I'll have to get a pic
what a stunning intercooler....all that lovely alloy
yumster.
Err....hows the shell

I would never have though about the sheer volume of air that a cone needs until recently.....not grasped just HOW MUCH goes in....
but while a friend was leaning over the bonnet of my Astra this weekend and I revved it up, the cold air intact sucked his jacket right into the engine bay
Seriously tho.....a small car has only so much space and as the Intercooler is the item getting the cold air and it is nearer the engine in the route of airflow, it is best that IT is in front anyway....just such a squeeze

when you look at what it was like when the engine was first dumped in....
and now with all the extra gubbins in..
I think all that comes to mind are "wow!!" and "sorted" Very Very nice motor you got there Lowe... planning anything else??

Next up? Bigger Turbo and a look at the body work inside the engine bay. Found some nasty rot which could be terminal.. but we'll have to get the bodyshop to have a real good look first.
