    Belgian Grand Prix

What the hell just happened? Button in 14th. Hamilton back to 12th. Vettel and Webber 8th and 9th.... and GIANCARLO FISICHELLA on pole? WTF?

He'll be fuelled lightest, but still... a Force India on pole is just madness.

Great to be back at a proper racing track too. Nothing like the appalling excuse of a circuit at Valencia. Great end to the season too, with Monza, Singapore (which is what a new track should be like - bumpy, edgy and challenging), Suzuka and Interlagos. I just hope Abu Dhabi isn't the huge let down I feel it might be.

Yeah was a very interesting session, I just don't understand why its all of a sudden going so wrong for Button. Him and Rubens have near identical cars? Perhaps the pressure is getting to him a bit...

Seemed like the softer tyre was just pants all round, but Button is so paranoid about getting temperature into tyres that he stuck on it rather than trying the prime.

Completely agree with you re: proper racing tracks. I'm dismayed that Valancia's signed a longer term contract - money over everything else it seems.

    Re: Belgian Grand Prix

Disappointing it didn't give a bit more momentum to the championship. All 4 contenders are trying their best to lose it!

Stunning, stunning stuff from Fisichella though. That was the best performance I can recall since... erm... Schumacher at Hungary in 1998 I think. Up there with both Hill at Hungary in 1997 and (ironically) Fisichella at Interlagos in 2003 in terms of shocks, but both of those had secondary factors - namely a huge advantage in tyres.

Agreed. If that wasn't an "I'm Italian and want to drive for Ferrari at the Italian GP" then I'll eat my hat Awesome stuff.

The egg and spoon race for the Championship is also amusing.

We'll see at Monza whether or not this really was a fluke result...

For what it's worth I was happy for the team this weekend.
