Zak, I have to say that you are one of the few guys I'm yet to meet on Hexus, and one of the guys I'm more keen to meet. Just to put the name to a face, a nutter face by all accounts

I have to say since driving home tonite, and ragging it a little it's warming on me slightly.

Still not keen on the interior, but the air con was nice and cool on the way home.

in fact, all things considered....... the Corsa SXi is a mid range performer.....you SHOULD try a 1.0 12v

Now THERE is a slug.....not that SXi..they're considered quite quick for a 1200.

Now thats something i would preach to Zak33...the 1.0l are simply abismal, however the 1.2 SXi is a nice car, to look at and sit in. And the driving experience in even a pap Corsa isn't awful, just a little slow paced

Hey, you got given a better car than Renault gave me this week!!

While my Clio was in getting a little rattle fixed (Bloody clio sunroofs!) I was given a 1.2l 8v 5 door, bog standard no extras or frills clio!

Arrg, was soooo slow! My car is only a 1.4 16v, but man, you could feel a big difference! Interior was bare too, so boring! Thank goodness only had it a day!

Well I suppose I'm just being picky, but would rather have had the corsa you got!

The old 1.2 8v Corsas were a lot worse. Gutless gutless gutless

The one I drove used to bog down on inclines and headwinds. Odd beast, ok so it didn't have much power, about 45 at the crank, but it was the torque. Or lack of, it just felt limp.

That said, after driving the thing for a while it did make a Mk2 1.1 Festa feel positivly fast!
