    They also get paid a much lower rate of labour by the manufacturer than they charge a customer. Which is why alot of main dealers try to fob customers off with excuses rather than fix things under warranty.

    it's not a bad rate though.. don't feel too sorry for them
    the only manufacturers bad at paying really low warranty rates are the guys from the east asia.

    GM pays good money for it's dealers warranty....good enough that it's worth LOOKING for the odd warranty job here and there.

    GM's warranty claims, particularly with Saab, have dropped massively with an improvement of reliability n the last 2 years or so, to the detrement of most workshop account's. Most dealers have lost out from NOT doing so much warranty.

    The issue is trying to get the MANUFACTURERS to allow claims in the first place.
