    Get your thinking caps on!

Hi everyone, not been in for a while! Time to change the car again and I am a bit stuck... cant decide what to go for next. I may have a scooby lined up but not sure if it will go ok (bloke has emigrated so there is a possibility of a very cheap scooby!) if not I will have approx 3k to spend. So far I have had the following so dont want another one of these:

    Fiesta Mk 2 x2
    Pug 205 GTI
    BMW 325I (e30)
Toyota Corrola SI (awesome little car!)
Scimitar GTC (With a turbo conversion )
    Mazda 121 (don't ask!)
    Volvo 850 T5
    BMW 320I Touring (e30)

It has to be a drivers car, quick, 4 seats and a boot! and reliable. Other than that not bothered. Get your thinking hats on and come up with something I haven't thought of. (not bothered about the age of it aslong as its reliable)

    Cheers

    Tom

Mazda 323F V6 (bit of an odd-ball choice but... 100% reliable, proper handling and driving experience, dirt cheap to buy, practical)

VW Golf Mk3 VR6 - good enough size, good performance and getting cheaper

Audi A4 - early ones getting cheap too

Peugeot 406 Mi16 - rare as rocking horse sh1t, dunno if you'd get one for £3k

Vauxhall Cavalier GSi/SRi/4x4 - should get a minter for your money, and they're tunable...

Your almost in Cav/Cally turbo money there 3k would get u a decent car, I paid £2500 for mine, heated leather, aircon, 4x4, lekky bits...
I'm guessing James means Turbo when he says 4x4, the GSi 4x4's were ok but not as fast as the FWD ones..
SRi's if u get the XE enged one is faster than the GSi cos it weighs less but doesnt quite have the comfort of the GSi...

If your looking at Vaux's theres always the Mk2 Astra if u want a drivers car, get yourself on www.migweb.co.uk and have a look in the for sale section, theres always bargains in there and most of the for sales are members cars so u know they've been looked after, there was even a Mk2 Astra Champion Turbo in there the otherday dunno how much it was tho....

    Mondeo ST24?
406 SRI Turbo (Although nowhere near as quick as it sounds)?
405 Mi16? (Although these are almost bangers these days so probably not what you want if youve got £3k)

Yup, for the money look at the Nissan, plenty cheap and reliable, with easy mods to make it go faster.
