Can someone please help me ???
I have had to remove the battery from my car and now the radio requires a serial number.

Is the code not in the car radio's manual, or alternatively as we found out with one car (Escort GTi we had many, many moons ago) it was a sticker on the side of the unit itself.
Either that or a Vaux dealer should be able to provide it for you?
I have looked high and low and no code.
Had the stereo out and nothing.
The dealer wants £30 for the code.
The problem as I see it is that you could (theoretically) have stolen the radio from the owner, and now want to activate it, thereby getting around the security.
Of course, I'm not accusing you of actually having done this, just pointing out the problem.

If I had stolen it, I would have had something a little better.
Just think they are ripping me off as I am the second owner of the car.
Wish the previous owner had been a little more careful.
All the new cars I have purchased, have had all this information well documented
£30 is not a rip off for this - I've seen much higher figures quoted.
You should always check that this information comes with the car when you buy it second hand, with vaux it's on a card. If it doesn't come with it then instantly ask for a discount equal to the price of getting a new code.
