RC cars

i'm after another RC car, as my childhood one has finaly given up, plus i can't get the parts

i'm wondering if anyone knows of any good kits (deals) for about £100, without the RC gear. i'm after a kit more than a pre-made one and have been looking at the tamiya range (for some reason i like them - last one lasted 10 years!)

any recommendations?

Those are okay if you're looking for a plaything, but if you're planning on racing you'll need something a bit more meaty from the likes of Schumacher etc

(Although I've still not finished my one, it's been in the loft for about 5 years, along with a massive r/c glider lol)

well i wasn't looking at racing it as i dont know any were in manchester to race but i have a largish garden and drive so was just going to get a off road buggy or a 4x4 rally replica. i'm not after a glow engine one just a normal elccy one, was going to mount a remote camera on it and have some fun!

The Schumacher kit I've got is electric, but it's kinda overkill for razzing about in the back garden lol

*update* my gf has ordered a kit off the net! all she will tell me is it's blue and is a road car 2WD version made by tamiya - so i'm thinking it's either a skyline or a scooby (as both come std blue!)

i'll have to post a few pics when i get it next week for my birthday!

My mate just got a petrol one that does 85mph and 0 - 60 in 2 seconds!

Iv'e got a nitro one does around 40 mph. Looking to get a 1/8th monter truck or buggy once I start working in the summer tho, hopefully be a bit stronger and wont flip over the sightest bump.

Yeah, they did. I had one, though I sprayed mine metallic green, and left most of the decails off.... Looked sweet.... till the electrics caught fire!

tbh i hope it isn't a focus, not keen on them. much prefer skylines or scoobys!

i do have a viper atm but i haven't used it in years, i know the batts have leaked, so i'll have to get some new running gear. then i can have races! LOL

Nice, thing with RC car's, is being able to buy a new shell, to get a "new" car! I don't think they're expensive! Besides, they're gonna get beaten up anyway! (Well if you drive like me! )
