Why do you think that technique isn't used in the UK In big areas knocking the back end of a car is quite safe although notice on that clip they almost knocked him into oncomming traffic then almost off a bridge, this could injure alot of other people.Originally Posted by Stoo

Different tactics used in America are for a good reason. In the UK, most people who try to flee from the police in this manner are joyriders, often in cities. This means there is a good chance of being able to get a unit ahead with a spike strip, or if it is deemed too dangerous, they will be allowed to go.
In the US people will often use cars in an attempt to flee after commiting a crime, and the police have to assume that the driver will be armed and must be stopped to protect the public. They also have much more space on their roads making this tactic much safer.
I wonder how many cars he had to steal to get that good!
I guess the nudge tactic stops working as soon as some thief has a brain wave and steals a car that's faster than the cop cars.
