18PSI would be enough to see the valver off, a T28 would see me off
Dunno, I'll need a bit of headwork as well for that I think. That's planned for after anyway along with uber strong liners, E.P cam and a few other goodies.
Very nice but urrm valver? you mean 16v 2l job?

Lowe - how strong is the bottom end, if you still have a std bottom its probably worthwhile uprating / investing in a set of ARP rod bolts..... at least your rods wont be so inclined to pop out for some airOriginally posted by Lowe

Not sure what the bottom end is like on a GTT. Can't say I've heard of many people changing em unless they're going for something daft like 250bhp+Lowe - how strong is the bottom end, if you still have a std bottom its probably worthwhile uprating / investing in a set of ARP rod bolts..... at least your rods wont be so inclined to pop out for some air
137 you beauty
Looking for a new car now (almost sold the pug i hope!)

137, guess thats not bad for a reno
Thought so.
The whole engine is surprisingly strong, as long as you have a decent head gasket and proper intercooling/fuelling then you can run some serious power through them without problems.
As I've said before, my old R5 turbo ran 18PSI for the 7 years that I had it and during that time it never had a single engine problem (despite having 97,000 miles on the clock). The only problems I had were things like starter motors, alternators which fail on every car.
Grr i am really taking a dislike to insurance companies!
Insurance for a valver is £1200 a year!

Yeah Elephant are great, they'd insure me on an LC but not a Cav Turbo lol
Valvers are rather tricky to insure cos they're such blinding little cars.

Have you tried Elephant? They are pretty good at the moment
22 5yrs NCB, live in SW6 though
Thinking about R5 GTTs at the moment although they sound more tempramental (sp??) but the insurance is cheaper.
