    Unhappy

Makes me think of the R19 16 valve i bought for a pal. K plate (phase 2) in white, 16inch alloys (slightly scruffy, needed a refurb really), lowered, big zorst, K&N induction kit, alloy gearknob, Kenwood H/U etc. Needed one wing mirror replacing and had a ding on the passenger wing, also the wiring to the starter needed new connections fitted as it had had some crappy crimp ones put on. 6 months tax and 8 months MOT, plus a 3/4 full tank for £525 'cause the girl couldn't afford to run it anymore...how gutted was i that i didn't have enough cash to keep it...

They're standard valver wheels mate - phase ones.

Shame about the 19, I love the way they handle.

Yeah, was my girlfriends car. She shed a tear on Friday when Lowe n Mark came down to buy it

She's getting a new car soon, looks likely to be a Puma but she's still considering a FIAT Coupe 20V or a Pug 206 GTI.

It's going to be looked after well though, nothing but the best.

The oil alone that's about to go in is over £25 per 2l at TRADE price. Then there's a set of Brembo Racing discs and pads for the front, Denso Iridium plugs, Splitfire leads, Quikshift induction kit, new foglights, a phase 2 rear end and possibly an exhaust.. Then it's in to the bodyshop for virtually a complete blowover. Should look like new and go like stink.

Does that mean that you're stealing the 16V Calipers then?

Nah, he's just chucking Brembo discs and pads on it, not the calipers cos they don't fit under 15" rims. Needs 16's+ for that.

As for speed - it's quicker on the top end since it's got the gearing, and everything else is about the same. I've got a lot more torque though so mine feels quicker, but in all truth there's not a lot in it.

In the end though my Clio is easier to tune and get more bhp/£. That's why I went with the GTT engine rather than buying a valver.

I thought it would be fairly similar performance wise, although I know for definite that 18PSI in a R5 GTT is definitely faster

    Keep saving for that hybrid

T28 rollerbearing should be more than adequate to see the valver off.

That's the plan anyway, just need to find £600 quid lying around somewhere.
