All the nice cars come out when its sunny....

Just on the walk home from the bus today i saw:

    1) Lotus Elan
    2) Porsche GT2 (well that was actually when i was on the bus)
    3) Porsche GT2 - its actually a Carrera 4 the owner put a GT2 body kit and GT2 badge on it.
    4) Ferrari F40
    5) Noble
    6) Aston Martin DB7.
    7) Golf R32

It was quite a good walk home

The F40 sounded very nice, and looked as good as the poster i have of it. Lovely

F40 I don't believe I've ever seen one in the flesh.

I've seen a Countach driving around Catford a few times, and I once saw a Diablo in Bromley. I see F355s and 360s all the time.

I saw THE COOLEST old 50's Hot Rod car thing parked at the side of the road the other day... I just had to stop and take a look.

It was yellow, rather lowered and had FSCKING MASSIVE rear wheels... Must have been about 13" thick at least!

    Lovely machine I reckon

I saw an F50 crawling past a 30mph speed camera in my village the other day (looked wierd to see a Ferrari going so slow). I guess the owners of these cars are like the 4-wheeled equivalent of FWBs (Fair Weather Bikers). Maybe we should refer to them as FWRDs (Fair Weather Rich Drivers)

I just seem to see an awful lot of Convertibles when its sunny. Its like they don't exist or i don't see them during 'normal' cloudy weather...but as soon as the sun comes out all the Vauxhall, Volkswagen, BMW etc etc convertibles come from nowhere!!

Oh no they are not, not by a long way.

A fireblade can be used as daily transport. An F40 can't.

Huge running costs, have to leave it in a safe area, naff all visability, to wide for british roads, too low to go over speed bumps, the list goes on. My old man knows a few supercar owners, one managed to take out a 300 quid tyre just by hitting a pothole...

Also in the case of the F40 you have to remember it's turbos both spool at once. It takes a very special driver to handle it in the wet.

Back to the original point, there are a lot of nicer cars about in good weather, no point trashing the weekend car on Britains salty winter roads. Heck rumour has it me old mans MG B surfaced the other day, a sure sign of summer
