    Thumbs up 37.3mpg!!!

Had the Clio tuned the other week. Took it on a run from Walsall to Watford and in the 107 miles it returned 37.3mpg!

That's like the most I've ever seen it do.

Mind you I was driving like a sane human - stuck to 65-70mph with a couple of overtakes. It was also a nice cool evening and mostly downhill. But even so, I'm amazed.

Used slightly more on the way home this afternoon due to traffic and doing the same journey in about 3/4 of the time...

    Wow! Thats really impressive!!

I have never seen my clio run that high before! Its currently running mid 20's! I have no idea why tho!

When I am good I do get low to mid 30's though!

Thats nice. In the focii I tend to get 36 to 37 on long journeys which is good, but day to day going to work and back i get 27.7 to 28.0 as theres loads of roundabouts and that just uses the petrol.

Me and my mate went from cardiff to bristol and back on £5 in a smart car thos things just run on air.

Not bad at all. In theory a Turbo shouldn't really harm your fuel efficiency at normal speeds, it's possible that it could improve it even.

I have to have a light right foot to even get over 25mpg round town in the MR2, but it'll happily do high 30s at a 70-75mph cruise, even if the engine is spinning at close to 4000rpm in top!. I'm pretty sure it'll easily go over 40mpg at 60-65.

Was getting about 20 mpg through really stop-start conditions in my 1.1 106, then moved house and recently done ~36.36mpg, since the journeys are a bit more flowing now.

Anyone ever tried ressetting their mpg counter, whilst going down hill, foot off the accelerator, and clutch in?

Makes your car look very impressive, even though it is cheating!

All of a sudden 99.9 MPG is 'do-able'!
