    That's the second best method I've seen of getting round the head gasket issue.

    First best method is of course the scrapyard

    Rubbish, best method is regular maintenance and coolant level checks The head gaskets were only prone to going because the cooling system is low volume on a k-series engine so it can easily run low on coolant and overheat. Not that I have experience of that personally, you understand

    Then again, any kind of gas turbine car would be pretty cool just for the curiousity factor

    If you go to the Science Museum in London, you will find in there a Rover from I think the early 50's that was a running prototype of a turbine powered car. It's not a new idea, but hopefully, with the advances in materials & manufacturing technology of recent decades, they can make a unit small & cheap enough for it to be a viable option as a power unit.
