    Detailing Choices

I have invested in a pressure washer (not just to do the cars but, the patio and block paving on the drive)

I have a limited selection of cleaning items that are mainly for sample to find a favourite, I am waiting for the delivery of my snow foam lance as the magifoam that I have can be applied and help with less time car cleaning,

Does anyone have a preference to any particular product(with proof)that it does a spectacular job of getting everyday grime and general dirt from a car with the minimal amount of fuss,

Please feel free to post secret formulae if you have it!

I have looked on Detailing world and have found good ideas but, I thought I would ask people whom are not from a valet/detailing specific site,

thanks for any and all ideas in advance.

For alloy wheels, Autoglym Motorcycle Cleaner. If you clean your car regularly and don't get masses of baked on brake dust it's great for cleaning them, just wet the wheels, spray it on, quickly brush it all round the wheel with an old household paintbrush and rinse, 10-20 secs a wheel. If your wheels are painted metal then wax them the same as the paintwork, I use AG Resin Polish on them, and the motorcycle cleaner removes the grime but doesn't strip off the Polish as its a soap and degreaser but non-corrosive, not like the acid based alloy cleaner stuff.

I have been using magifoam for the last month.
I does remove some of the dirt from the sides of the car but it still needs washing to remove all the dirt.
I invested in this as a shampoo

    http://shop.autobritedirect.co.uk/ba...0ml-3323-p.asp

Very slippery & very easy to do a very good job (even put a little bit of shine on Mrs P's car)
I also invested in some Dodo products but have not given them a go yet.
The Dodo works out at 4 times the price of the banana shampoo (half the size bottle & twice as price)

The foam is most useful as a prewash for when the car is really bad I find, you'll almost always need to get the buckets out and hand wash with the expection of the summer months when you can just go out weekly and foam off the dust. I've been using super snow foam recently and find it better than the auto-rae stuff I used previously.
