    choices choices...

right here's the deal: Scan, in all their technical wisdom, have managed to become out of stock between my time of ordering a few things and the delivery date. don't ask me how it all works but now my delivery has been pushed back Another week > so, I had ordered cpu, psu, agp, ram and hdd...(see here for my thingy to scan on these forums)
now, in their email I was given the 'option' to ammend my order. I had ordered the MSI Neo2 Platinum and an agp card - do I keep this and wait a week or change for the giga-byte ga k8nf (nforce4 board) and a pci-e 6600GT card?...

Look, if it were me, the only reason I'd be staying with AGP is if I already had a graphics card that I wanted to reuse. I'd say if the price diff isn't hideous, and the graphics cards are broadly equivalent, I'd go for the nForce4 board and the pci-e graphics. Yes, AGP cards'll be around for a while, but it won't be very long before if you were looking to upgrade you'd be in the same boat as someone hunting for a decent PCI graphics card now.

Seconded. Just wait and get PCI-E, not only will your upgrade path be easier, the parts you are upgrading from will most likely be worth more if they're still a current technology.
