Most expensive oil flush I've ever had :(

Nearly 40 quid of oil wasted today.

Why? Because of a naff sump plug washer costing about 50p. Argh!

Came to the car this morning to find a pool of fresh oil underneath it after servicing it yesterday. Had a look underneath and the sump plug was leaking.

After draining my pukka Motul and having a look, Doll and I can clearly see the washer was naff and had a kink in it. Not amused.

Ah, good old renault and the sump plug washer.

Next time, pop to B&Q and get yourself a roll of PTFE tape (plumbers tape).

4 turns of it around the sump plug and the squasher-washer is surplus to requirements (but for the 50p they cost, I always put one on!)

    NEVER try to re-use them!
