    right.....XTR....I need your address....

    PM...little pressy for ya

By the way guys.......I did see some CACK stuff as well...some really dire stuff.

The VDO unit that I LIKED was the cheapo one....it was clear, concise and easy.

The next one up was DIRE...really really complex and non intuitive

What about off board navigation? then....
You've covered a tiny proportion of the market.... So many things i could say but probably shouldn't tho......
Lets just say my opinion on NavTech data is less than 100%... and funny enough my new job is just round the corner from their headquarters..

    oooh....tell me.

I only get one side of these things...NEED TO KNOW BOTH.

I was told they have a team of drivers, driving the roads, and mapping the junction shapes, the one way systems and the odd lanes you have to be in for certain places...ALL OVER the UK.

Then they compile the data ALONG WITH local information, and then compress it to a format for the company in quiestion.

VDO are using: C-IQ, a company and system to allow access to the differening options and downloads, plus to run the subscriptions.

I think they are separate to VDO and to Navteck tho

Yeah, I heard she was trading it in tho for a better, more efficient, smarter thinking mk2 model.

eh?? ooh no.... I don't think so pal... not just yet

And Shogun.... as long as you keep on top of the cooling (large amounts of a warm infusion of a caffiene bearing bean in water do the trick) then it's largely ok
