    yeah it's fine... just gotta be really sensitive with your right foot, get the revs sweet, and then just guide the gear in, if you get it right, the car won't lurch and the gear will almost change itself - same with down-changing, except before you change, knock it into neutral, blip the throttle to get the motor up to speed and again, just gently guide the stick through the gate and it should slot in nice n easy

    You can't do it all of the time, the engine has to be at certain revs/alignment which gives you a window to change without dis-engauging the clutch. Quite often you can knock your car out of gear anyway, that's not too bad, it's getting it back in without dipping the clutch that stresses the box because you are assentially 'forcing' the car back into gear as most people will be forcing the stick upwards or downwards until they reach such a window.
