Button approached williams not the other way round
Yes - thats the best chance of getting a world title
No - BAR will be better than Williams next year
No - he should've stayed loyal to the team
Couldn't care less. Whats all the fuss about?
I don't know
Button approached williams not the other way round

Button approached williams not the other way roundThats what i meant. I know buttons management approached williams. But there was still a question of whether williams had any options on him. And i think that whatever options they had ages ago have already expired. As for williams - i don't think they had any contractual options on button. And i can understand why they snapped him. Buttons management might've wanted to go for the big bucks and the proven team and might've pushed him. If that is the case he may not be too comfortable with the decision. i don't think williams are culprits here though.
Whether button was pushed by his management is another matter. It may not have been his first choice until his management had a chat with him.
Tough on mirrors, tough on the causes of mirrors.
Button and Williams are on speed sunday now. Should be interesting.

BAR were very patient with Button, allowed him to mature into what i firmly believe will be the next British World Champion.
I could see it coming he would always go back to Williams however i will be interested to see how he fits back into the team. BAR come across as very cutting edge and stylish, which Button suits as a role....from a branding point of view, BAR was where he should have stayed. But from a team point of view...Williams will dominate the sport again someday soon
I think its good for him, good for williams & it is the only way he is ever going to win anything. As long as they sort the car out anyway
Holy thread revival batman!
Wasn't there this hype before this season even started? He was considering moving to Williams, but had one final year on his contract at BAR. I think that the Williams team is a tad faster, and also marginly faster. It is all those years at the top which has honed their designing skills.
that's the chicken!!!
Check the date this was originally posted- hence my previous comment.

Was panicing then.. checked BBC News and there was nothing on there, thought the original poster had some inside knowledge!
...then I saw the date.
Sounds like Coultard will be going to BAR next season. Good move for DC, which driver will leave BAR though??
"No - BAR will be better than Williams next year 9 "
I know it's not the end of the year yet and they had good performances, but they haven't scored a single point yet. Now that is a come down!

If I was Button I would leave to, how many cars have BAR given him and his team mate that go bang before even getting anywhere near the end.
