Looks like one set has come down slightly - only £395 each
Minimum size is 18's to cover these brakes and even those are tight.
Winter tyres just put back on the car for the 3rd cold season. Absolutely fantastic on morning ice/frost and grip on snow without a fuss needed.
Only downside on my Kumhos is they really squirm under brakes in the wet.. much more than the Yokohama summer tyres I normally run even in sub 5 degs.
Hmm, so you've got to stick to 17" rims? Tricky.

Continental Sport Contacts are, by far, the worst tyre I've ever driven in winter. But it's not Conti's fault.. they do a great job for spring to autumn.. they're just NOT winter tyres at all.

Cheap as chips and work really well until it gets to +10c when they turn into philadelphia soft cheese.
I can echo that for my michelin PS3s - fantastic summer tyre, while I thought their softness would be good for winter actually they've stiffened up in the cold and are even worse than non-sporty tyres I had previously (HP primacy).
The Vredestein hi-trac I had for the Astra were really good in winter and summer.
