Olders ones and the S class may be somewhat subtle but the current ones are all bumps, lumps and creases.
...also, moving on a bit, I'm not adverse to a bit of daft styling (and I'm a bit odd in my car tastes for my age). I think the smaller cars get away with it more though - I quite like the look of the current Fabia VRS and I used to really like the previous Panda (the 100HP) one - thought they'd turned a very boring looking car into something quite nice without making it look like it had crashed into halfords.
