Play DVD's via Sat Nav ?

Got my new car today and was wondering if I can expect to be able to play DVD movies via the sat nav system, when I'm stationary obviously ? A quick google hasn't returned anything useful so I'm relying on your expertise. I'll be trying it tonight when I get home but any input would be useful

Ah, didn't realise it made a difference

Accord Tourer, no idea what model the Sat Nav is. I can find out later if it's in the manual

    some do.

The DVD that the map is on is sometimes ejectable for a film.

The unit tends to need a seperate DVD player tho, and often has quite boring old phono and vid leads to it

I take it that the screen is pretty big...not a built in lickle thing?

On a related note, is it possible to manually update a sat nav dvd by adding content and burning a new dvd - my Father in Law also has a Honda Accord - 2.4 Exec with Sat Nav, however the DVD doesn't have detailed maps for Northern Ireland, only Europe and UK. If this IS possible, any idea how I can obtain said content for a DIY job?
Wise old man won't you help me please? My house is a squash and a squeeze.

    tart

Back on topic I tried a DVD and it didn't work. Googling didn't turn up anything so I doubt it's possible.
