That unfortunately is the way the Clio pipes have to be routed.
Unless you go for a cheeky side exit or VES, but they're noisy as. Saying that though, you wanna hear Dolls 16v, it's blummin silly loud. Nearly got pulled taking it out for a spin on the M6 last night. Coppers deliberatly baited us as well, cheeky sods!
/p.s don't mention Doll's wheels.
Whats up with the wheels?
Unmarked pothole + 2x wheels = buckleage.
ouch- know the feeling - I have a very very bent wheel in my boot at the moment
nice exhaust - very jap
can you get a bung for it ? ( you might need to as that looks pretty much straight through. )

Nice exhaust.. just make sure there is no one passing behind you when u're stopped... might cause cancer or faint without a CAT if the person is sensitive.
Or that clio has the cat just after the exhaust manifold? (behind the radiator).
Eco warrior in the house.
J reg cars don't need cats IIRC. They were compulsory from Jan '93.
Rich :¬)
You sure it wasn't K reg?
Or am I thinking of something else?

The exhust system on my car no longer has a cat and the exhaust is straight through. I wanted the jap slash cut look (sorry Lowe, lol! (he's copying my bonnet ) ) and it is a bit loud I suppose but not really bad. I put my induction kit on as well which is just as noisy as they bolt directly onto the inlet manifold on Clio 16v's.
Wheels are buckled unfortunately, so I have got a set of Phase 2 Clio 16v wheels for now, I posted a piccy of them not to long ago.
Rave is correct on the cat, it was Jan `93 they became compulsary, my car does'nt need one but it did have one hence the de-cat pipe
Byron - I don't think that the lack of a cat would cause the symptoms you are describing, I would think that prologed exposure to any exhaust emmisions, catted or not would'nt be healthy, lol!

How much did you pay for that Doll? Don't like to look of those cack crush bends in the slightest....
Chris thought it looked alright...
I paid £240 after a little bartering. Cack crush bends? The bends were rolled. Surely a man with your superior knowledge would know that! But if you knew that you would know that it is impossible to get a bend that keeps the same circumference when using straight tubing! . I did'nt realise Scouts were doing badges in exhaust design, you'll have to sign me up GeorgeOriginally Posted by Soneji
As Lowe said, Chris replied on RSC with regard to the exhaust and he liked it, said it looked well constructed.
