    Superdupersprint! (56k warning)

Well it took us about an hour to get the old lump off and get the nice new shiney bits on, but the exhaust is all done

First impressions are that it's just the right volume (can't tell it's non-standard when driving normally). If I open the throttle I get a burble to begin with then it rasps beautifully

It's much much smoother, and it seems a little more responsive. It should release 3-4bhp so that's probably what I'm feeling. It looks the mutts as well

I'll take some more pics tomorrow/monday when I clean it, but for now...

Very pleased with it so far

    spank! looks very stylish!

So changing exhaust can make quite a difference then? I've been tempted to do so on my 316, did you pay to get it fitted?

Well I'm not sure if I'd say "quite a difference" but it's a subtle change that's just made it smoother.

I didn't pay for fitting. I also got 10% off

Nice one. 3-4bhp won't be very noticeable but I'd imagine you'll feel it pull very slightly harder at the top end of the rev range. You decatted it as well?

Nope, there's a lamda sensor just after the cat so the ECU goes into 'limp-home' mode if you don't re-jig it when you take the cat out. This obviously = extra cost.

It seems to pull a lot smoother throughout the range, but I think you're right in that it's most noticable at around 6k. Unfortunately my exhaust heatshield has been rattling for a week or so now between 5 and 7k rpm so it sounds a bit iffy at the moment at those kind of revs!

    Cost a fortune though.
