I hate em....you lot hate em. A few good cars in amongst the dross. Boriing design...and CONSTANT GRIEF from the press.

Why do I bother? Except for 18 months at Peugeot (nice) and 9 months at VW (dire) I have sold Vauxhall's since 1990. Thats nearly 12 years guys.

I'm not voting. I can't say whether you should quit your job. Your poll is kinda one extreme to the other with nothing inbetween either

Are your customers generally satisfied with the cars you sell them? Or do they constantly come back, constantly claim under warranty, etc?

It seems from where I'm sitting that you're just thinking this cos there are a small number of less than satisfying Vauxhalls. I reckon they've got their act together as of late and I like their new models

And one more thing... You're good at your job

zak33 .. end of the day if you hate your job then its not up to us is it to tell you to leave. Are there any perks about stopping @ the dreaded Opel makers and flogging their cars such as nice pay, free car etc or have you got your eye on another job elsewhere.

I would seriously consider sitting tight and waiting to janurary at least as then you'll not be on the market with the rest of the xmas "temps" all fighting willy nilly for the jobs out there

I'd vote - try finding a new job which gives you at least as good pay and prospects but makes you proud of being part of something. Look at where vauxhall is heading, can you see the light at the end of the tunnel (or is it just the actually quite nice and powerful main beams of a 1.8 vectra)?

If it bothers you that much then maybe consider changing, but find somewhere where you will enjoy first. Maybe when you have an idea about where you could go bring it up with your boss, maybe he feels something similar too. Maybe you can then give vauxhall a kick up the arse, they might listen if it was coming from the dealers.

I would feel sorry if you left the job (parts of which you clearly do enjoy) just because i didn't like a slow rental car (which does have a reason to exist coz of economy and co2, so its not just a dire car for dire cars sake).

I wish.....Monaro and VXR are special dealer only...and the salemen that are accreditied are normaly family of the boss.
