Yer the complete lack of blood and that there is no wreckage beyond where the two 'bits' of the car ended up...

Sometimes airbags dont go off, theres a set of parameters that have to be exceeded for them to deploy, latteral deceleration n all sorts of things come into play...

And it being a side impact the airbags sensors are prob set for front or rear impacts...

True, I know someone who had a front impact followed by spinning and three rolls eventually landing on the roof, and the airbag didn't deploy... well at least he didn't get the 3rd degree burns when it goes off...

If the car did hit the tree with the force it looked like it did, then the engine and wiring loom would have been ripped to shreads almost instantly, do airbags fire when theres no power / control from the ECU?

Looks liek something strange happened when it crashed as the speeod/rev counter are still set to (what i'm guessing) they were when the car crashed?
