Think it'll do the job? I forgot to factor in the SD card, car mount and software. But i think the hardware will do what i want

well a GPS module actually only costs about £10, so the PocketPC etc is a bit of an expense on top. Depends what you want it to do?, have maps and route you round?.

GPS module only costs £10? Cheapest GPS solution ive seen before this is another PDA with built in GPS receiver for a little less than £100, and the closest to that was that TomTom Go at £400 So this is by far the cheapest ive seen unless ive missed a completely different type of device

And yes, at the very least i'd need it to go on the dashboard and provide instructions for routes etc

Cheapest all in one solution is to look around in aldi or halfords for the Medion cheap, that's got the complete package, ppc 2003, mapping software, gps module and mem card .

IIRC I got my old one for roughly £200 or so

    Failing that there's always fleabay

if it's a gps bundle it'll come with UK maps, if not then you'd have to get the software separately..

It would need a gps module which it should be able to link into it with bluetooth. I remember seeing modules for the p800/900 around though, want me to dig up a link?
