But on a more seious note zakky, you could pick up a car like mine, do some of engine, brake and suspension work, and for £6k you would have a coil overed 300bhp mean machine, perfect for the 2.0 class?

Theyre well tail happy tho, i doubt your driver blokee would need to upgrade the handbrake at all

I cant THINK of a worse rally car, to be honest

great tarmac car, but it just wouldn't hack rallying, not even airfields. Too big, too long, to wayward...too much bonnet.

    and WAY too sideways

dont forget too....a turbo car has to multiply its capacity by 170%

So a 2litre turbo counts as a 3.4 litre car....hence the classes above 2 litre exisiting

and much as you love your car...it WONT touch a well driven EvoVIII,Scooby, or even Escort Cosworth, or even Sapphire Cosworth. It would get pounded to oblivion. Only its long distant cousin stands a chance....

the 240 RS and that really DOES go well. Still cant touch the top cars though

Lol it would make a great rally car! Rallying is all about going sideways, and boy do these go sideways

hehehe know it would make a crap rally car, but i had to try

Ouch at the turbo meaning 170% so all the skooby's evos etc are classed as 3.4's? Never knew that!

Mind you i think you are being a bit harsh on the old Datsun, i know everyone loves their own cars, and i love mine to bits, but i do feel you somewhat underestimate the tuned 200sx S14 - with coilovers, upgraded front and rear anti roll bars, strut braces and decent wheels and tyres, it WILL give the unasuming skooby/evo/cossie driver a hell of a scare especially as most of em will have have no idea whatsoever what he hell thing is keeping up with them, and mines nice and debadged too. Wolf in sheeps clothing, just how i like it

There was someone in america that was doing a 200sx with skyline running gear (4wd etc) and the 2.6 turbo from the skyline. Now that would be something to be scared of

find me a selection of 200SX rally cars. You'll be hard pushed. Why? Cos it's a 2wd LARGE car, where all others of that size are 4x4. Just LOOKING ar it you can see its a tarmac, high speed racing shape.

A good Nissan rally car would be a tweaked GTiR. I used to own one of these and it was awesome, 4wd and lots of fun. I suppose another good choice would be an old Mk1 or 2 escort, great rally cars.
