The BOV's been bypassed.. just straight through pipe and now every time I come off the throttle I sound like a WRC car. Delish
Sound clips to follow when I get a chance

so you have a spare SSQ?

You'll need to talk to me, it's in my shed, lol!Originally Posted by Moby-Dick

Come on Shad - you must know what an Super Sequential Blow off Valve does
supersequential blow off valve shad ... but im sure you knew that
you can feel free to tell me what it does?!
then me and shad can both be educated
Doesn't it ditch the air from the turbo when you shift so that it doesn't go pop - some sort of release system - sometimes they are pully sorted - but I think this one works on pressure

the item in question is an HKS Super - Sequential Dump Valve (aka Blow off Valve or BOV )
they differer from a lot of dump / blow off valves ( which are the SAME thing ) in that they have two different "dumps" , one at low pressure , and one at high pressure .
eg. The forge dump valve I have on my 200 produces a single "TTTttsch" at over about 4psi or so.
the SSQ has an almost 2 tone effect at high boost pressures ( eg if I were to hit my M3 killer button oops I mean High boost on the boost controller )

sounds clips of different BOV's
the main reason I'd be after an HKS would be to fit a recirc kit to it

Easy guys...
The other special thing about the SSQ, is unlike most dump valves it clamps shut at idle. Most piston type valves progressively close as the throttle is used, to the point that they only clamp shut on WOT (Wide Open Throttle.. i.e nailing it). The SSQ is clamps shut and stays shut until throttle lift off, at only then does it release the pressure in the boost circuit. In fact this makes me think about another thread... I'll post something up in a sec
As Moby says, in the SSQ there are also two valves in one. The two valves are in different sizes and correspond to different boost pressures. At low boost levels only the first valve opens which gives a normal "sneeze". At higher boost pressures (~9psi and over on my car) then second valve opens and it screams. At 18psi in an enclosed area I measured my SSQ producing nearly 130dB
Here's how the car sounds with the SSQ on it:
