    Question Parents

When you have your kids in the car do you find you drive slower and more alert/cautiously?

Woman (early 20's) in white 106 didnt this morning, pulled out of a side street without even looking 2 kids (1 kiddy seat 1 just sat in back) in the car I had to stop to miss her, the other people on the opposite side of the road were more afraid than she was, mind you, she didnt look to see me so theres no shock there eh...

speaking of bad drivers i was following a woman in a Vectra into Cheltenham the other day with my sister in her car infront of me...

This woman in the vectra cut my sister up 3 times!!... she nearly went the wrong way down a main road, she tried to turn left at a junction where you CANT, she was without a doubt the WORST driver i have ever seen, and i took much pleasure in honking my horn at her and mouthing "..... ......" to her as i overtook her in a 30mph speed limit

Sorry... but i aint ever seen any male drivers this bad yet.... so maybe it IS true what they say about women drivers.

jeez i've been in a car with some bad female drivers, and they always say 'but i've never had an accident or a crash' - translation = 'i've caused at least ten other people to crash but i didn't see a thing'

Why is it when a truth is revealed about the opposite sex, its regarded as 'sexist'? Phooey.

My mum scares me when she drives ... But I get my own back

ditto Flanderz, my mum scares me when i have to get in the car with he (not alot anymore thankfully).

    - She drives in the gutter,
    - She needs glasses but refuses to wear them = poor observation,
    - She doesnt concentrate on the road properly.

I resent some of the comments made, it's quite a sweeping generalisation that Women are bad drivers.

Personally i've been in a lot of cars where MEN have scared the living daylights out of me, due to reckless and sometimes downright careless driving. And i've had countless times where men, THINKING they are better drivers have cut me up, driven too close etc etc

Need I go on? I think not.

I got stuck behind some woman driver the otherday doing 25 mph down a 40 mph road, where sadly I couldn't over take because thee was too m uch traffic on the other side of the raod. What made it worse was that silly woman was driving a Golf GTi so if she wanted to she could have floored her car and left me standing.

it's quite a sweeping generalisation that Women are bad drivers.
imho generally women are bad drivers, obviously there are exceptions and i do know some very good women drivers....but not many.

men drive faster - true, men take more risks - true, but when men make mistakes they are generally aware of doing so and will make some sort of gesture to apologise, but what really chokes my chicken is the amount of times i have been cut up by women drivers,or they are driving the wrong way down a one way etc and they have absolutely no idea they have done anything wrong

ps. good women drivers are not included in my above generalisation
