Don't like that black trim on the Golf. Not bad otherwise, but very Seat-like as you say. Looks a bit dilluted.

    Auti though, very nice

Like the Audi, like lots, stick 4WD in it and about 300bhp and I'll have one ta

That Golf does look a lot Seat like doesnt it, still looks like a Golf from behind tho..
It'll prolly weight the best part of 8 tonnes tho as the Golfs have been getting fatter for years and loosing there appeal IMO....

    Yes please to Audi

The golf looks the furthest removed from the original golf, the previous ones still retain that "golf" look if you see what I mean?
The wheels look like they have fallen off an alpha.

    the audi has a v10 bi-turbo

i agree, up untill now they have they have kept some of the original golf look and i don't see why they had to change it so radically, they are also planning a new corrado although this will probably be badged a golf coupe

I really like the Audi, looks very menecing indeed

Also the golf looks a bit Alfa-esk from the front, very nice all the same though. I am trying to talk the mrs into getting rid of her Corsa and getting a Golf at the moment.

golfs are starting to get a bad name due to the number of company fleets using them (see beemer 3-series for details...). i'd steer clear for that reason alone

Not sure about the front lights on the audi, very nice though

not a fan of the new golf at all though, its a seat!

not a really bad thing but imo a golf should look like a golf and not a seat.

If you avoided cars because companies also use them for their fleet cars, there wouldn't be many marques left to choose from, and I haven't heard anything about a bad name.

There are a lot of Mk4 Golfs around, they are very popular because they are very good, you can always spot the company ones - they are the 1.6 ones with none colour coded trim and steel wheels
