It's growing on me (the DB11) though I still think the DB9 looks nicer. Though in reality if I had a spare £155K and needed a 'new' car I'd buy something boring, 2nd hand and stick the rest on the mortgage (I'm just that exciting). At a push I might buy a basic-ish F Type and stick the £100K left over on the mortgage. I used to have dreams but they died

I think the Aston is an awesome looking car; absolutely stunning. The sad thing is, cars like that aren't practical, since if you ever parked it up anywhere, some jealous 'person' would probably decide to scratch it.

You don't park it up. You drive to the entrance of where ever you want to go and the valet parks it somewhere safe.

In terms of looks I really like the Tesla S, actually. I was biking home last night and a vehicle transport stopped at the lights next to me with 6 of them heading for the new showroom down Stockport Road. Was tempted to see if I could give him the directions to my house and persuade him to accidentally "lose" one...

It depends on how you define life changing. I know someone on a 6 Figure salary that £155k would be life changing to. They would be ably to pay off their what's left owing on their house minus about £15k and go part time to spend more time with their family and therefore enjoy a substantial improvement in their quality of life.

I find that looks a bit like a Jag XF. Nothing wrong with that, and I suppose the original Tesla used a Lotus Elise body. Maybe Elon Musk really likes British cars...
