Cars are so over-wheeled these days. 19s on an RCZ is nuts. That said, Eagle F1s are the quietest tyre I've tried, good choice there for reducing noise!

Yeah they look nice but tbh as I get older (35 now!) I prefer ride comfort, especially with the state of our roads these days, low profiles are not much use...
I must admit I am thinking of maybe changing them for the 18" versions at some point.
I'm on 17s and think they're plenty big enough, I've considered dropping to 16" wheels, but it's a bit limiting on brake options.
BTW if you change wheel size you also need to re-calibrate the speedometer and the mileage counter, as well as change the gearing. Otherwise things will be way off what they should be. Most people forget about that
Anyway, you can get a good mk2 Focus ST for around 7-8k now. They run rings around any Peugeot and unlike them, won't fall to bits. Plus it will hold it's value a lot better and you can tune them up to 300hp

Only if you don't change tyres.. but given you'll have to, you might as well get tyres that maintain the same overall diameter thus don't affect speedo/mileage/gearing.
Build quality - no difference. Hold value.. not compared to the RCZ. Tuning, maybe - but if he wanted a more powerful one he can buy one of them without needing to tune.Anyway, you can get a good mk2 Focus ST for around 7-8k now. Naa, they are way more solidly built than the RCZ. Underneath they are not like the normal Focus models, the engine is also Volvo 5 cylinder and they are renowned for being bulletproof.
As for value. Well...a 10+ year old Focus ST is still worth almost as much as a 5 year old RCZ with the same mileage, despite costing a few £1000 less when they were new. Fast Fords hold their value and often become collectables down the line, Peugeots are worth peanuts after a few years.

Not if you keep the rolling radius the same...
Focus ST is a decent car but OP wasn't after boy racer rollerskate. You've clearly never driven an RCZ, it is very nicely made in fact and by Magna Steyr no less. I've not been inside an ST but I'd wager the RCZ has more toys/is the more grown up of the two... As ever depends what you're after... If you want to compare to ST though, see the RCZ-R reviews...
If you want a golf...
Which is why I wouldn't think about it until the tyres needed changing anyway. But as you say, I would get a bigger profile to maintain the circumference, and maybe make it a little bit more comfortable. Might even get some dark alloys to go with the dark paint job; it would hide the dirt a lot better!
I do like Fords, but the only part of the interior that feels a little poor in the RCZ is the display screens, which aren't much better in a Ford normally. Certainly not compared to the Merc's I have been driving. However, you do get a leather covered dash, which I didn't even notice the first time I got into one!
I really love the look of dark alloys.. but most I've seen are painted dark so when you kerb them it's hideous!
While we're on the topic of new alloys.. any recommendations for places to get a set that's actually mechanically great? I want to downsize my wheels in the future for weight, economy and comfort reasons, but all the alloy shops I see tend to sell blingy tat which doesn't suit anything sophisticated, and I fear would just fall apart on the pot holes around here.
I've always wanted a set of Enkei's, they are pretty decent I believe... http://enkei.com
Wolfrace & BBS are also long established companies...
