    You weirdo, black alloys rock.

And they came like that from factory. Probably the best thing Ford's ever done with rims

    Nice car

I am 99% certain they did NOT come like that from the factory, however. The alloys are the 12 spoke 16" alloy which originally came on the first saloon ST24's and some of the Si's. It was then fitted as standard to 98 onwards Ghia X models. It was available in silver, or, as an option on the Ghia X, chrome. They have been fitted to that car afterwards - they were never available as an option on any 1.8 16v Mk2.

I have never seen another set in black, and there is no reference to them being available in black in any of my Mondeo brochures.

Nice cars, great for the money and amongst the best handling of cars in this class

Infact..... just to drag this thread up from it's death throws (and remind MD how much he loves mondeos).

They're not Mondeo Ghia X Wheels at all, they're definately Scorpio Ultima ones.

The main difference being Mondeo Ghia X wheels dish out in the middle and the Scorpio ones dish in.

The centre is held on by a bolt on the scoprio ones whereas I belive then mundy ones click into place.

Overall the Scorpio one's look a lot posher.
