In 1990....13 years ago.....it looked like heaven on wheels.

And thats cos it was affordable...its was a poor mans Porche.

So I feel the arguement could wage for ever

We'll see in another 10 years...wait until its about 25 years old......then we'll know for sure.

I, for one, will have one in my airconditioned garage
I'm sorry, I know I'm biased, but the Corrado is better than the Calibra in every respect.

I do prefer the more agressive stance of the Corrado, infact I looked at one b4 the GSi, was only the 16v tho so I didnt bother...

Hopefully we can forget the PT Cruiser as quickly as possible. One passed me here in Bondi the other day with flame graphics. Oh dear...

Suzuki Cappuccino Definately appearing in that list.

However, given the fact that we now live in a disposable world, where models are changing every 18 months, I honestly dread to think what the "classic" car world would be like in 25 years time.

Yeah..proper road cars, just not very popular cos more dough........but it was in all the brochures, so if you'd ordered 10, you'd have got 10.......and it was awesome....same floorplan as the GSi 4x4...

thats why I think its the one to have

Not as fast as front drive one though....loads of friction....which is why it came outta roundabouts so damn fast

Corrado OWNED Calibra in handling...and finally in performance with the VR6....

but it was not in normal people vocabulary......Calibra was for shopping.....it could take 4 adults.....it had a FANTASTIC engine, and sorry, the VW 1.8 16v and even the G60 8v...DID NOT CATCH IT.....

but around the bendy stuff.....TOTALLY AGREE mate..TOTALLY....

Corrado VR6 is one of the best cars ever made...but it attracted idiots (present company excepted ) cos it was STATUS not HANDLING purchases
