That is going to be alot of fun for you mate, I wish I could afford a toy like that.
My mate is currently converting a Mk1 fiesta into a trackday car, he is fitting a RS turbo lump into it plus he has completely removed all non essential items from the car. It should have an impressive power to weight ratio, much like your new car will.

I also purchased a nice set of kart boots to aid the driving, I can't see my usual CAT boots fitting in the footwell.

boots= an essential! you get that feeling that you need out, and you go jump in and nip off, only to nearly crash into EVERY car that you get close behind at a road end, and cursing yourself when you press the pedal and the brake together, or catchign teh pedal before the gas as its slightly closer in our car, sending you inches from the car in front

p.s. are you gona take out the passenger seat ad all the jazz that we se these hardcore trakmen doing, with teh fire extuinguihser only on teh passenger side, or is a fun car as well as a track car?

Nah, Passenger seat/carpet etc will stay.

It's a road car first, track car second tbh.

Same as the screen could be replaced by an aero screen, but I don't really want to wear a helmet every time I drive it.

shameless bump, and answering a few points

tbh the onyl time i would wear a helmet is when its cold, or your planing to beat it about, late summers evening with all those *******ing midges, or its raining

posing in a flash car isnt posing unless peopel that you see know its you posing
