<look of utter glee> That things is just too wicked for words.

What does GN stand for anyway? Always want to know. They seem to have a cult following of sorts. Google is not my friend in this instance.

That's a Buick Grand National. (A General Motors or Chevy Company)
And yeah they do have a somewhat cult following 'cause of the power they had with the Turbo V6 they came with and you could get 600+HP pretty easy. They were limited production in the late '80's and they were bad as hell. 350 HP stock. My Father in Law built one similar to the one in the video for a good Doctor friend of his. Single Turbo with the V6 with 750+ HP. That one has twin turbos and a V8, the V6's they came with were V8's with 2 cylinders cut off, basically. They had a very unique sound but were tough as hell.

The car in that video sounds awesome, a little too much power for the dyno/tires it seems

    Hey Eazieb,

If you're building a Chevy V8, the only REAL V8 , then I have a good roller cam from my race engin that's still in very good shape. 630 degrees of lift and about the same duration Send me a box and I'll send it to Ya Really.

the high pitched noise was the those h00000000ge turbos ( sticking out of the bonnet ) I dread to think what boost they where running but I suspect it was high ish as they didn't kick in till reasonably high up the rev range.

Cool, thanks for the clearup! I had a feeling that it stood for Grand National, I don't know why. Over here the Grand National is a big horse race!

Is that the same V6 used in the Chevy Camaro and the like? I didn't know it was related to the V8, the capacity (on the Camaro at least) seems a bit small to be a 345cu. in. small block with two cylinders lopped off.

Eazieb, how do you know its a V8? It could even be a 6.....
