    New Exhaust

Last weekend I fitted a new exhaust to my car. But it needed a slight modification to it so we finished fitting it to my car this weekend.

A few weeks ago my friend booked his Megane Cabriolet into an exhaust place for them to make a custom-made catback stainless steal exhaust. He paid around £650 for it.

A couple of weeks ago he told me that he was going to sell the car as he wanted to buy a mk4 Golf GTI. So we decided to strip the car down to standard. We removed the coilovers, exhaust, rear shockers and put all the standard parts back onto it.

Last weekend we started to put the exhaust onto my car, but since the Megane Cabriolet is about 4 inches longer than the Coupe we had to make some slight modifications.

This weekend we took the exhaust off the car.... cut 4 inches out of the stainless steal exhaust finishers and welded them back on.

The car is now booked into the bodyshop to get the old exhaust hole in the bumper smoothed and filled in..........

Looking good, fairly discreet too, which makes a change.

I hope they make a nice noise.

My car is a phase2 with non standard wheels.

That other car in the photo is my brothers car..... 2.0 16v.... phase1, with phase2 wheels. 150bhp....... would make a nice track car i think Same engine as a Renault Spider.

Looks a lot better with the 4 inch's removed. But like Butuz mentioned will it not melt the bumper without a heat shield/cutaway?

    They are both original...

Left hand set are from the earlier Meganes... Phase1 (1996-1999)
    Right hand are phase2's (1999-2003).......

They look alright body-coloured.... I've seen a few cars with them painted.
