South Wales unfortunatly, which is miles away from north wales, and selby! But we'll have to sort something out. Cant have Emzay finally getting her mini and Butuz not there to see it (*cough* drive it *snigger*) can we?!!!!

I BET you'll be going to the next Mini in the Park show. See you there though i won't be able to park with the minis

Oh and zak, that there's a pile of "Mini Magazine"'s for Em' to get stuck into. Far more important and useful than the haynes

lol thanks zak33, i think it's safe to say I'm in love! hehe!

Butuz is right, the lovely couple who owned it have left me a pile of mini mags (i've been reading miniworld for 2 years now - so i can have a look at the other major mag!).
The house however is not mine, it's my grandparents. Pedro is currently living in their double garage with their polo till he's insured & we've emptied our garage! (They'll be chuffed you like their house tho, they built it themselves! lol) and yes, the dash is luuurvely!

W reg Mini - excellent! Best way to own a classic mini, buy one of the last ever made becuase they are still reasonably new, have modern safety features, and are not old enough to have the problems the classic ones have

    Enjoy it

Do you know how much it was? Interesting to know what sort of value the late Classic Mini's have compared to, say, a Polo or Micra of the same age.

Seriously jealous, looks like you have a beauty there. i've always wanted a nice classic car like a mini, beetle, VW camper, 68 Mustang GT V8 Ok, maybe i'm hoping for too much with the last one.

OOh wow pee, I didn't know there was another mini owner here (I think trash_man has one tho doesn't he? or he did...) - is yours in the 'show us your car' thread?

Fox, Asking price was £5495, dad got him down to £5100 - I've seen much more expensive ones of that age, so I think we got a good price

You didn't sell it to someone from the Bedford area? With a couple of spare back doors?

    Anyway.....

ten times the value of my First car. A fiesta CTX auto in a very tastefull 'communist gold' with light brown interior....... I can't see why

Nice car Emzay, now for gawds sake, KEEP IT CLEAN. Inside, outside and underneath. Remember thats a 40 year old design car and if you turn you back on it, it'll turn into a big ball of rust before you know it!

I'm convinced my little bro has replaced every panel on his mini at least twice in the last 5 years!

£5k for an 18th b'day pressie? Bloody hell... Are kids these days more and more spoilt or something?

I was lucky to get a present at 1% that value when I was 18, and that wasn't too long ago...

It is a nice Mini though, my Mum would love it (only if it was painted red though)!

Yeah, you have to take into consideration a few things when pricing mini's tho. Eg: This one isn't a rust bucket, is a cooper, hence more desirable, one of the last off the production line (he didnt quite make the final 100 ) and thus a bit better made than the early ones. And as they arn't produced anymore they're collectible/vintage etc and for a five year old car 22k isn't bad on mileage, hehe
