On a corsa, yes. On a Hummer or a range rover, No.

I think the biggest that I would have on a golf sized hatch or smaller are 17" rims, otherwise, on the practical side, the turning circle is rendered mahoosive, and the top speed is also reduced.
But hey, it does look great!!!
that's the chicken!!!
Knox - but we are not talking about hummers or range rovers mate thats my point!
Exit - top speed will not usually be affected if you choose the correct profile of tyre. But as 20" are far too big for the golf, you cant get the profule under 30 - so top speed will be affected in this case - and that proves my point that jumping from 16 to 20" wheels is too far, you cant keep the overall rolling radius the same.
Personally i recon if you go over 2" bigger than whats on there as standard, then your going too far and are gonna affect the ride and handling.
Butuz
60 mil drop on 19's:-
I believe they are what Skii p'shopped onto his car
I pm'd him over at cliosport
Cheers!
They are Audi RS4 replicas. As cocopops says they are the same as the p/shop on skii's car
the ride must *surely* be affected on that car??
have you considered a bigger rear bumper? i dunno why, but i think somethign a bit longer (thus looks lower from behind) would look awesome..
hughlunnon@yahoo.com | I have sigs turned off..
Tom - that looks superb. Lovely mate.
Unfortunately it ain't going to happen for me yet (financially) but its definatley on the future mod list.
They do look good though.
5Lab - It can be a hard at time yes but it doesnt scrub and tbh its only like my Clio was with 17's.
As for a lower back bumper the pics do nothing to show the ride hight. When you see it in the flesh it is really quite low. If it had a lower bumper i'd have probs. If i was to reverse up to a curb it already hits. Most people who opt for 19's normaly have a 40mil drop.
