    ECU fun

Yesterday I made a serial adapter for my ECU so it can be plugged into the serial port of a laptop. First soldering I've since since school, quite proud of myself

Went and did some data logging today, got some nice figures. No O2 in the exhaust at the moment so can't log A/F ratio, making the whole thing a bit useless at the moment. Got RPM, throttle position, MAP and intake air and coolent temps. Just got to find something that can handle plotting more than 255 along an x axis on a graph... That and I need to burn a chip with the newer maps that support logging vehicle speed. More fun to come no doubt

Nice...I knocked up a lead for mine the other day using the rs232 chip for vag-com diagnostics, what software are you using for data logging?

I'm using some software written specifically for PGMFi, ECU Control. Works pretty well but suffers some memory issues with the crusty old laptop I'm using.
