Need a head unit! Any good?

What's so bad about Sony head units, incidentally?

Although I'm looking at a Pioneer DEH-P5730MP with their IP-bus iPod adapter, so Sony being turd is a non-issue.

Its not that Sony units are as such actually bad, its just that for the same price you can get something better from Pioneer/Alpine etc, at least IMO anyway!

Actualy, not Any of the other brands could come close to the specs on that sony! 120 d/b signal to noise ratio! And the MP3 filters... Not to mention that advanced 24 bit decoder This things gona rock! And if not I'll simply return it and buy one of the others listed in this thread

No... Its just that I loved it from the very first moment I saw it! Besides.. If I dont like it I can send it back for a diferent one

It's a bit like consoles.. do you buy them because the games are good, or because the spec is good?

Go listen and play with a few HU's rather than just look at spec sheets... but hey ho

You'll be happy with the sony as you have nothing to compare it to. If you had bought the pioneer etc and then heard the sony you would probably send back the sony. As you havent listened to anything else you'll be happy with the sony and not realise what you could have had
