At least it happened tonight, instead of tomorrow when I've got the new bit ready to go on....

I'm ok with the backbox going on occasion..... but the manifold/downpipe's gone somewhere now.

I've got that lovely task to accomplish as well... Hopefully it;s only the gasket thats popped... anyone know the correct procedure for getting a manifold off a 1986 Rover 2.5TD motor?? dunno if I;ve got to get the turbo off or anything first....

Not 100% sure on procedure, but i'm guessing it involves the following:

    *Various cuts/bruises/grazes on arms/hands
*Plenty of elbow grease (and normal grease too!)
*OTT swearing when you smash your knuckle into some bit of metal and rip some skin off

At least thats what car repairs normally do to me!

my exhaust so nearly made my car fail its MOT. blowing from the join between the stainless catback system and the cat.

all sorted now though, took 2 minutes... flew through its MOT once that was sorted....

Nearly ripped my bumper off on the brake rollers though No damage done... just a few mm from the ground.

Hope ya get it sorted Tumble
