He's very lucky indeed judging by that x-ray image not to be totally paralysed for life.
DuhAlways wear a seatbelt
Anyone who doesn't wear a seatbelt deserves everything they get. It's completely ridiculus and I think it should result in points and/or a hefty fine and/or a ban if Police stop you and you're not wearing one.
Fair play for surviving and all, but it's still a f****** idiot
I still can't believe that for all the publicity about seat belts we still have morons who don't wear them.
I don't even have to think twice about putting it on when i get in the car, its so natural.

agreed. i actually feel wrong if i get into a car and *dont* put my belt on. sometimes if im in a hurry i do it just as i start rolling forwards having turned the ignition on. i dont understand those who dont. its not uncomfortable, doesnt make you slower, etc..
incidentally, paralysm isnt actually related to the spine bones, its down to the nerves that run along it. so you can snap your spine like that, and if your nerves survive, you're fine. that said, i bet his back will give him jip for the rest of his life.

Bungey isnt that far from me...
Seat belt is the first thing I do when I get in the car. Its habit now.
It feels wierd without one... Even if I'm just moving the car a few metres in a driveway or something it still feels odd without it
One of my friends actually failed his driving test for not putting his seatbelt on and driving about half a mile without it And it wasn't his first test
I don't understand how you can NOT wear one :|
