    Slippers.... do you wear them?!

We were having one of those "Friday" conversations at work..... prompted by somone in my office telling us that he ALWAYS changed into his Marks & Spencer grandad slippers when he got home from work, so we were discussing who wore slippers at home (or work!!) and if they did, what sort of slippers they were!!

SO I was wondering about you lot and what was ...."normal"!!!!

I'm more of a socks person - which probably explains why mine always have that peephole look.

I'm guilty of Grandad slippers, mainly cause:

    A) They are comfy
    B) Not many people will see 'em so I can avoid fashionistic worries
    C) Me feet are always cold and these are nice and warm

nope - I'm a bare foot person myself. This is because I'm only 5 foot 6 and have size 12/13 feet ( depending on shoes etc ) so if I wear slippers I look like a golf club.

Saying that... I get called Frodo when my mates come round when I'm walking round barefooted so I cannot win really

    passes him his coat

    Right....slippers....are for the following.

A: Stops me stubbing my frikkin toe on the frikkin table leg any more frikkin times
B: the fact that A works means that I dont scream out in pain and then vent my frustration on the wall with my head to alleviate the pain
C: B means that I dont spend all day plastering up holes
    D: C means I get more time on IL-2
E: which means I DO bang my head on the desk instead.

/takes coat back from Pyle, slips it on, and runs for the door, aided by grippy slippers

I usually wear socks, great on wooden floors - not so great when carrying hot food on wooden floors.
the g/f got me some homer simpson slippers...i wear them a bit for novelty value - sure enough they keep my feet very warm but I guess I'm just not that kind of person.

Here's something - why are they called 'slippers 'when if you put them on, invariably, you can't?...[slip that is]
