    Fantasy Formula 1

so... anyone fancy doing a Fantasy Formula 1?

as the season is about to start, and The Sun is running is usual Fantasy Formula 1, I thought maybe us petrol heads at Hexus would like to run our own version

I dont mind updateing the results, but i'm not going to offer any prizes (i'm not THAT rich!!)...

    so... how about it..

    its quite simple really...

    Starting Off
All you have to do is pick EIGHT drivers (two each from Groups A-D) and FOUR constructor teams (two each from Groups E and F) who you think will perform best over the 16-race season.

Your selections will score - or lose them - depending on how they perform in each Grand Prix. The better they do, the better your Team does.

    Scoring

Your EIGHT drivers and FOUR constructors accumulate points as follows:
    DRIVERS
    1. Points for qualifying (i.e. position on the grid) for each Grand Prix: Pole 20 points; 2nd 19 points; 3rd 18 points; 4th 17 points; 5th 16 points; 6th 15 points etc down to one point for 20th.

    2. Points according to finishing position in each Grand Prix: 1st 20 points; 2nd 16 points; 3rd 12 points; 4th 10 points; 5th eight points; 6th six points; 7th four points; 8th two points.

    3. Points according to their improvement from qualifying to finishing: One point for each improved place. So, for example, if a driver finishes a Grand Prix in fourth having started in 14th on the grid, he would score 10 points.

    4. All drivers also receive one point for every lap completed.

    5. Black-flagged drivers are deducted 20 points.

    6. Any driver who is called before the race stewards and found guilty after an incident during the race weekend will be deducted 5 points.

    7. The Manoeuvre of the Day, as picked by The Sun's reporter, earns 20 points.

    CONSTRUCTORS

    8. Constructors also score points. Any car finishing the race will receive 10 points. (The car has to finish the race, not just be classified as finishing). There are also bonus points for the top eight finishers (the first car from each constructor home only). These are: 1st 20 points; 2nd 16 points; 3rd 12 points; 4th 10 points; 5th eight points; 6th six points; 7th four points; 8th two points.

    9. Points according to a car's improvement from qualifying to finishing: One point for each improved place. So if a car finishes a Grand Prix sixth having started in 17th on the grid, that constructor would score 11 points.

    10. Pit stops (based on the total time spent in the pit lane). Fastest of the day earns an extra 20 points.

    11. The Pit Tactics of the Day, as picked by The Sun's reporter, earn 15 points.
