    BMW questions :)

Do indicators come as standard on BMW's or are they an extra ?

Only reason I'm asking is no BMW driver seems to use/have indicators and just turns when they god damn feel like it... be it into your lane without giving a flying flock about anyone else.

I've 15 mins before I have to get home and the traffic round here is horrendeous due to a load of roadworks and fancy work going on to calm traffic and make it flow better.

Every night for the last week we have had a BMW driver with his mobile to his ear swaying all over the place while the road is down to 1 lane for roadworks, weaving in and out of the traffic like a blind wasp in a sugar factory.

I thought that was just boy racers and van drivers (thank god I'm not either).

Van indication is simple. I'll blink the indicator three times, you better clear out the way pretty sharpish before I move

I drive a van quite often at work thankee very much. I always indicate, and behave in a mannner that is conducive to efficient motoring.. and if you get in my way I'll crash into you, and if you cut me up you'll sudddenly gain a trailer But I ALWAYS indicate my intentions beforehand

Wow, generalising againsts everyone who drives a particular type of car is *so* cool.

Idiots drive all sorts of cars, people notice them in BMW's becuase they've filled their head with jealously.

This is true - eedjits drive all sorts of cars - but it only takes a few bad eggs I guess.

Just look at the rep that "sports car" drivers get...

Why does everyone hate BMW's??? Surely I can't be the only 5 series driver on the road that indicates and lets people out? Or is it that people can't see past the white and blue badge on the nose? A'holes come in all shapes and sizes, just like the cars they drive...

The most dangerous cars on the road are >10 year old cheap family saloons, particularly sierras and cavaliers. I don't think the drivers drive with any particular malice or ill intention, but they just don't care (or notice).
