Met up with a few skyline owners

on sunday. Met up, had a chat, had some food and drink and then went for a ride around cardiff.

Was good fun! The amount of attention a convoy of skylines and 200sx's got trundling around town is unreal

And the noise through those tunnels town cardiff bay

    Couple of pics.

The photos were taken in Ikea carpark but then we drove around a bit and through the centre of town and down the A470 a bit.

I'm not a fan of skylines.... too boring.

Yes they are quick cars with lots of gadgets and gizmos.... but to me.... its nothing more than a 4 wheel drive Primera They just dont appeal to me one little bit. Sorry

Impressive sight seeing them all together though..... No 350Z's there?

not all of them are 4WD - people tend to only think of 'Liners as the GTR.

    which they quite clearly arn't

the GTS-T is 2WD and I think you can convert the GTR to RWD at the flick of a switch.

out of the box on the GTR is really swift , but that doesn't mean that you can't tune a GTS-T up as much as the GTR

I think they did manage to fit a lot of toys into them , but they aren't quite to my personal taste either ( well apart from a gunmetal R32- GTR , but thats just a place in my fantasy garage )

I wouldn't go as far as saying they are boring though. Just a little safer than a 200

You need to drive one mate thats all I am saying. And have you actually heared one at full chat? 6 cylinder symphony, turbos whistling, wastegate screaming. Good lord its enough to make a grown man mess his pants

Theres a reason why clarkson said the skyline was one of the best cars ever invented, and i agree with him

4 wheel drive primera indeed - thats like saying a Ferrari Enzo is just a tarted up fiat brava.

    As for the chav comments.

If I had so much money that regular services and sky high insurance would be a drop in the ocean, I'd have one.

    But I don't,

    so I won't.

Funny. Skylines are one of those cars that just don't register with me when I see them. I only recgonise them once I see the round tail lights.

saw one in a garage in scotland. i can only recongise them by the round tail lights like Konan555 but also all seem to have large exhausts. once you see them 2 items then you know its a skyline.

not really all car manufaturers no longer seem to make box cars so all of them seem similar from the front, that is unless you see a giant Nismo sticker in the front window, then you aren't in much doubt
